Melbourne, the world’s most liveable city, is set to reach new heights with a new high rise called Australia 108. Australia 108 will be 9 storeys higher than the Eureka Tower, Melbourne’s tallest building at present, and will become Australia’s tallest building. 

Barangaroo is a $6 Billion dollar spectacular waterfront precinct being developed on the Western edge of Sydney’s CBD and harbour, comprising parkland, offices, residential apartments, a hotel, shops, cafés and restaurants. It is one of Australia’s largest urban developments ever to be constructed, and arguably one of the most ambitious urban renewal projects in the world today. 

Australia’s largest ever infrastructure project “Gorgon LNG”, located 60km offshore, relied on Putzmeister equipment to get the job done. Constructing any $60 Billion project has its challenges, but when located 60km off the mainland, the word logistics takes on a whole new meaning! 

CPE Machinery was excited to deliver the first new 50 metre Stationary Placing Boom in Australia to Select Plant Hire. Laing O’Rourke was awarded the contract to build four large Cryogenic LNG Tanks as part of the $34B Ichthy’s LNG Project in Darwin, NT.  

Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) was the world’s first project to turn coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) and one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects. Comprising gas fields and production in the Surat Basin with 540km of pipeline to Gladstone and an LNG plant on Curtis Island, the project involved more than $20 billion capital infrastructure investment.
